Olivia Taylor (fr 2019) was elected to be Alumni Representative in the House Committee for 2021.
Here, she shares some thoughts about the year ahead:
Your degree and university: Combined Economics/ Law at University of Sydney
What you are most looking forward to in 2021 at College: This year has required a lot of adaptability and flexibility in College. I am excited to see many things return to normal next year but I am also keen to embrace the new traditions and events that have emerged. More importantly, I am very excited to spend more time with my year group and friends and meet a new group of freshers.
What you hope to achieve in your House Committee in 2021: I hope to set up meaningful connections between current students and alumni through networking events, talks and job opportunities. I aim to ensure that these opportunities are accessible for all College students- whether looking for life advice, mentoring or specific career guidance.
Advice for 2021 freshers: Give everything a shot. This is the best way to meet new people and make the most of college life. You’re given so many opportunities at Drew’s, but it’s up to you to make the most of them!
