At the end of 2024, St Andrew’s students elected eight House Committee members for 2025. Alongside our Executive Team – Chloe Gillis, Ted Stephenson and Roelf Van Der Merwe – these third-year students will help oversee all aspects of college life, representing their peers in various areas.
Amelia Daunt – Rosebowl Secretary

Amelia Daunt, a Wenona graduate from Sydney, has always valued community involvement. Growing up in a neighbourhood where volunteering was highly encouraged, she developed a passion for giving back, which led her to leadership roles at St Andrew’s. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Aeronautical) and a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Sydney. Inspired by the dedication of past House Committee members, Amelia is eager to contribute to the College’s inclusive and supportive culture, particularly in Rosebowl sports. She hopes to enhance participation and camaraderie in the sporting community while ensuring equal support for the Rosebowl and Rawson campaigns. Amelia’s leadership values include respect and dedication, which she aims to demonstrate through active involvement in all College activities. Having participated in various sports and committees, she believes that engaging with the broader College community is key to fostering inclusivity. Her advice to future freshers is to approach College life with an open mind, embrace new experiences, and actively support their peers.
Ed Reynolds – Rawson Secretary
Originally from Tasmania, Ed Reynolds attended The Friends’ School in North Hobart. His supportive local community instilled in him the values of hard work and resilience, which have shaped his leadership approach. Ed is currently studying Commerce at the University of Sydney, majoring in finance and accounting. Motivated by a desire to contribute meaningfully to College life, he ran for House Committee to strengthen the sense of unity and participation in sport. As the Rawson Secretary, he aims to enhance the sporting culture and advocate for the inclusion of AFL in the Rawson competition. His leadership principles centre on integrity, inclusivity, and teamwork. Through his involvement in Rawson football, basketball, and athletics, Ed has gained insight into effective team dynamics and culture. He believes that fostering inclusivity starts with encouraging broad participation in both Rawson and Rosebowl events. His advice to freshers is to lean in with enthusiasm, keep an open mind, “Get to know anyone and everyone and have a genuine interest in the people around you”.

Scarlett Pearce – Palladian Secretary

Scarlett Pearce leads the Palladian efforts in 2025 with a deep love for the arts and a commitment to growing the College’s cultural legacy. Born in Dublin, she moved to Sydney at nine and attended St Catherine’s School before pursuing a Bachelor of Music Performance (Classical Voice) and a Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Neuroscience) at the University of Sydney. She has been heavily involved in Palladian Vocal, Drama, Instrumental, and Dramsoc, as well as serving on the Sony Camp Committee. Scarlett is eager to work with fellow leaders to strengthen the Palladian competition, introduce new traditions, and encourage greater student participation and engagement with the arts.
Gigi Stitt – Intercollegiate Representative
Gigi Stitt, from Red Bend Catholic College in Forbes, grew up in the country, where resilience and adaptability were instilled in her from a young age. Now studying a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy, she was inspired to join the House Committee to advocate for students and foster collaboration between St Andrew’s and other colleges. In her role, she hopes to build stronger intercollegiate connections through joint events and initiatives. Guided by values of inclusivity, respect, and accountability, Gigi aims to create a welcoming environment where all voices are heard. Her leadership role is preparing her for a future in physiotherapy by strengthening her communication and teamwork skills. She encourages freshers to embrace every opportunity and step out of their comfort zones to make the most of their College experience.

Gemima Davies & Harry Gonzales – Social Secretaries
For 2025, two students have been selected to help organise the busy social calendar at Drew’s with a variety of events, both maintaining traditions from the past and instilling new ones, focusing on inclusion, safety and enjoyment.

Gemima Davies, a Wenona graduate, grew up between Tokyo and Sydney before choosing St Andrew’s for its balance of academics, extracurriculars, and a strong sense of community. Now pursuing a Bachelor of Arts/Advanced Studies (Media and Communications) majoring in Marketing, she is passionate about fostering a vibrant and inclusive social culture at College. Involved in sports, the Formal Committee, and the College’s social media team, she brings extensive experience in event planning and student engagement. Gemima hopes to create a dynamic and exciting social calendar while ensuring every student feels welcome and included. Her leadership is guided by kindness, inclusivity, and approachability, with a strong focus on listening to student feedback. She encourages freshers to embrace new experiences, navigate life with kindness and step outside their comfort zones.
Harry Gonzales, born in Sydney and raised in Beijing and Singapore, brings a global perspective to his role as Social Secretary. Studying a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Advanced Studies, he is passionate about contributing to the vibrant social culture at St Andrew’s. Previously serving as Social Sport Secretary, Harry played a key role in organising sporting events and mentoring younger students. Now, he hopes to build on the College’s impressive social calendar by introducing new ideas that enhance the community’s traditions. His leadership style is centred on adaptability and collaboration, ensuring that events are responsive to student interests. He believes that fostering open communication across all year levels will create a more inclusive and connected College experience. Harry’s advice to freshers is to get involved in as many activities as possible to make lasting memories and friendships.

Henry Mitchell – Alumni Secretary

Henry Mitchell, an alumnus of The Armidale School, grew up in Armidale, where his experience working for his family’s startup business inspired his involvement in College programs such as Androvation and the Alumni Mentoring Program. Now studying a Bachelor of Business majoring in Finance at UTS, he was motivated to join the House Committee after witnessing the positive impact the 2024 team had on his College experience. As Alumni Secretary, Henry aims to strengthen the connection between students and alumni, facilitating job opportunities and career advice. His leadership is defined by communication, innovation, and commitment, all of which he believes are essential in fostering a strong partnership between past and present students. His experience in Rawson Cricket, as Secretary of the Highland Ball, and through various mentorship initiatives has equipped him with the skills to take on this role. Henry encourages freshers to seize every opportunity presented to them.
Tom Lynch – Honorary Assistant Treasurer
Tom Lynch, from St Stanislaus’ College in Bathurst, values the strong work ethic and sense of community instilled in him by his regional upbringing. Now pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Commerce, Tom sought a House Committee role to give back to the College community that has shaped his university experience. As Honorary Assistant Treasurer, he hopes to expand the role beyond financial responsibilities, supporting staff and facilitating coordination between operations teams and students. He believes in leading by example with a proactive and selfless approach, aiming to foster collaboration and engagement among students. His involvement in Rawson Cricket, Athletics, and Stage Band has sharpened his teamwork, event planning, and organisational skills, all of which he brings to this leadership role. Tom’s advice to freshers is to wholeheartedly embrace every opportunity while keeping up with their studies.
