Elections were held in College in October to determine the 2020 House Committee.
We are proud of the deserving students who have been voted in to lead the College next year, and look forward to introducing them individually to our broader community.
Jack Grant is our incoming Senior Student, and here he discusses his vision for next year.

What I am most looking forward to in 2020 at College: Seeing the extra-large cohort of fReshers arrive and embrace their new community will be very exciting to see, and I personally cannot wait to meet them all as they begin their journey at Drew’s. With a broad diversity of incoming residents carrying various interests and talents, the life of the College promises to only be further enriched in 2020.
Allowing for this large intake of residents, the opening of the Thyne-Reid Link will be a very exciting moment in the history of the College. The new common areas, study spaces, music rooms and gym facilities, accompanied by stunning vistas of the College and University will facilitate Androvians to further their amazing endeavours and will no doubt reinforce St Andrew’s reputation as offering a world-class college experience.
What I hope to achieve as Senior Student in 2020: As Senior Student, I look forward to being a strong voice for the Student’s Club, embracing my passion for this College to ensure that the Club operates smoothly, independently and successfully. As cultural renewal continues to be affected in the College, I am also looking forward to ensuring that St Andrew’s continues to maintain its unique identity, culture and set of values that have been the bedrock of our community for over 150 years. With the help of a very talented and capable Executive and House Committee, 2020 promises to be a year where we can make a lasting and positive impact on the College.
Advice for 2020 freshers: This College is your home, so don’t be afraid to take a risk and step outside your comfort zone, your fellow Androvians will always be there to support you.
