Elections were held in College in October to determine the 2020 House Committee.
We are proud of the deserving students who have been voted in to lead the College next year, and look forward to introducing them individually to our broader community.
Benjamin Adams will take on the role of Treasurer, and here he discusses his vision for next year.
Degree / University: Bachelor of Accounting (Co-op), UTS
What I am most looking forward to in 2020 at College: Aside from boasting some magnificent views, the opening of the Thyne Reid Link is sure to substantially improve the already high quality of life we are so fortunate to have at Andrew’s. A new gym, tuition and music rooms will allow the many incredibly talented Androvians among us to continue to excel in the plethora of disciplines they bring to College. This new building also opens the door for a massive fresher cohort to experience College in 2020 and beyond, which is always a pleasure to see.
What I hope to achieve in my House Com role in 2020: As expected, the Treasurer is responsible for the finances and substantial budget of the Students’ Club. I look forward to directing the Club funds in a fair and transparent way as required and desired by the Club itself. As a member of the Executive, the continued implementation of progressive cultural change in consideration of our unique College culture is an amazing challenge that can have a real impact on the future of the College.
Advice for 2020 freshers: Immerse yourself. Challenge yourself. Be yourself.
